How do I list my business for free?

It’s easy!

• Click “Add Listing” on the directory page
• Create an account or log in to your existing account
• Enter your business details (Business name, address, phone, website, hours, social media links, description, etc)
• Click Submit
• Your free listing will be submitted for approval
• Once our team approves the listing, you’ll be notified via email and your listing will appear in the directory

What if my business is already listed?

Before creating a new listing, please search the directory for your business.

• If your business is listed but unclaimed, click the yellow “Claim Listing” button

• If your business is not listed, follow the instructions to create one.

How can I claim an existing listing?

To protect businesses, you’ll need to create an account before claiming.

Here’s the process:

• Search for your business in the directory.

• Click “Claim This Listing.”

• Create a free account (name + email).

• Submit your claim details (your role, business email, etc.).

• Our team reviews and verifies your claim to the listing 

• Once approved, the listing is attached to your account and you’ll be notified via email

• Log in and update your listing with all of your important business information (description, contact info, social media links, your website URL)

What’s included in a free listing?

Your free listing includes:

• Business name, address, and phone number

• Business description details
• Your logo

• Website and social links

• Business hours and prices

It’s a great way to get discovered locally at no cost.

What is the Premium Visibility package?

Our Premium Visibility Package gives your business more exposure:

• Featured placement above free listings

• A branded social media welcome post

• Access to submit events to the community calendar

• Ability to add promotions to the Save Local Augusta page and in our Facebook group

• A shoutout in our weekly subscriber email

• Annual plan bonus ($499/year): A full-length featured article with backlinks, updated each year you renew

How much does Premium Visibility cost?

• Monthly: $49/month

• Yearly: $499/year → Save $89 compared to monthly and get a featured article bonus.

Can I upgrade later if I start free?

Yes! Many businesses start with a free listing and later upgrade to Premium for more visibility. You can upgrade anytime from your dashboard by clicking “Upgrade to Premium.”

What happens after I upgrade?

• Your listing moves above free listings.

• You’ll receive a branded social welcome post.

• You can start adding promotions and events right away.

• You’ll appear in weekly subscriber emails.

• If you’re a yearly member, we’ll reach out to schedule your feature article.

How are promotions handled in the Facebook group?

Premium members submit their promotions through their dashboard.

We share these in the Shop Local Augusta Facebook Group so they reach thousands of local followers without clutter or spam.

What if I accidentally create a duplicate listing?

No problem! Our team reviews all submissions and may merge duplicates.

To save time, always search for your business before adding a new listing.

Do you offer refunds if I cancel?

Payments for listing plans are non-refundable, but you can cancel anytime.

Your listing will remain active until the end of your billing cycle, then return to a free listing. 

If you cancel your Premium Visibility plan:

• Your listing’s Feature Business badge will be removed
• You will no longer appear at the top of searches for your business’s category
• You will no longer be able to submit items to our community calendar, the promotions page, or our Facebook group
